The main lesson for a disabled person to learn...
December 24th 2006 00:31
Great expirience! The challenge has been a journey with a beautiful started because now, I know that whatever I put my mind into is possible. Last, Friday, I was in the Avon office: taking order, finishing my business report, and helping my avon sisters. The feeling is wonderful; therefore, I have made my mind to continue going to the office every week.
Because the more I go out to interact with people, the more, I reteach myself to be me, again. When I spent to much time in my home with the same home health aides, therapist, nurse, husband, and surroundings. Unconsciously, you get trap with the same routine and forget what is the real word. I believe, it happen a lot to most of the disabled people... because we don't come out; we don't a change to people to learn about us, as well, as us to learn from them.
I encourage you to go outside and don't be insolated from society.

Flashes of memories
A great message for this time of year. My cousin is confined to a wheelchair and he became really depressed. Finally someone offered him a job and now he is a completely different person. As you say it is easy to get stuck in those routines - even a perfectly able-bodied person.
Good on you for your Spirit!
Much happiness during this festive season
